Address & DNS

Connection method and address are configured.

  • Connection Method

Each interface has two connection types as follows.

    • Automatic (DHCP)

Network interface configures the system address automatically from the DHCP(Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) server connected with NVR via the network.

    • Manual (Static)

The devices on the network are assigned with a static address usually.

The Static address has a advantage to the service while address in the connections of DHCP can be changed. The static address can be offered from the network administrator to use it. The offered address can be written to Address section.

The address can be changed by the request from the server, state of line, time, rebooting for it is assigned from upper server. So, the address in DHCP is not able to modify.

  • Address

The information of this section can only be entered in the static address, the assigned address will be appeared here in other address mode. IP Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway are mandatory in the static address.
